Indirect Lighting | Create More Atmosphere
With indirect lighting, the light source itself is not directly visible. Instead, the light is directed towards a ceiling, wall or other surface and then softly reflected into the room.
LED lighting can, for example, be integrated into ceiling recesses, curtain boxes, bespoke joinery or furniture. Because the light source remains largely hidden, it creates a calm and atmospheric lighting effect. Indirect lighting can also add extra depth to the architecture.
Positioning requires careful consideration. The distance between the LED and the illuminated surface determines how evenly the light is distributed. Light output, colour temperature, profile and materials also influence the final result. A poorly positioned LED strip can make individual light points visible or create unwanted reflections.
Indirect lighting therefore often works best as part of a broader lighting concept, combined with functional lighting and carefully positioned accents.
