Dim-to-Warm Lighting | What Is It?
Bij gewone dimbare verlichting neemt vooral de lichtsterkte af. Bij Dim-to-Warm verandert tijdens het dimmen ook de kleurtemperatuur: hoe verder je dimt, hoe warmer het licht wordt.
Een armatuur kan bijvoorbeeld op volle sterkte rond 3000K of 2700K licht geven en tijdens het dimmen geleidelijk verschuiven naar een veel warmere lichtkleur. Hierdoor ontstaat bij lage lichtniveaus een zachtere en sfeervollere uitstraling.
Dim-to-Warm is vooral interessant in woonkamers, slaapkamers, eetruimtes en andere ruimtes waar zowel functioneel als sfeervol licht gewenst is. Overdag kan meer licht worden gebruikt, terwijl 's avonds dezelfde armaturen een warme sfeer creëren.
Niet iedere Dim-to-Warm-oplossing werkt echter hetzelfde. Het bereik van de kleurtemperatuur, de dimtechniek en compatibiliteit met de gebruikte dimmer of domotica kunnen verschillen per armatuur.
